Hydraulic Transmission of Locomotives

The information on the locomotive power transmission, the principles of structure, operation and regulation of hydraulic clutches and torque converters, the method of calculation and construction of their characteristics are considered in the textbook. The description of the hydraulic transmissions applied on locomotives and systems of their automatic regulation is given. The calculation methods of hydraulic transmissions and traction-economic characteristics of diesel locomotives with hydraulic transmission, rules of their operation and testing are presented.
