ENG: Since the outbreak of the Russian invasion in February 24, 2022, university libraries in Europe have been called to address the humanitarian and educational needs of Ukrainian refugees and internal displaced persons. In our contribution, we’ll explore successful initiatives by European university libraries that adopted open innovation as a way to welcome, support and empower Ukrainian refugees in their learning and life trajectory. Through concrete examples, we’ll reflect on further opportunities emerging from opening up university libraries as knowledge hubs with a strong social mission in times of crisis.
