    University Libraries in Times of Crisis: Supporting Ukrainian Refugees Through Open Innovation (abstracts)

    ENG: Since the outbreak of the Russian invasion in February 24, 2022, university libraries in Europe have been called to address the humanitarian and educational needs of Ukrainian refugees and internal displaced persons. In our contribution, we’ll explore successful initiatives by European university libraries that adopted open innovation as a way to welcome, support and empower Ukrainian refugees in their learning and life trajectory. Through concrete examples, we’ll reflect on further opportunities emerging from opening up university libraries as knowledge hubs with a strong social mission in times of crisis.

    Університетські бібліотеки в часи кризи: підтримка українських біженців шляхом відкритих інновацій (презентація укр.)

    UKR: Від початку російського вторгнення 24 лютого 2022 року університетські бібліотеки Європи були покликані задовольнити гуманітарні та освітні потреби українських біженців і внутрішньо переміщених осіб. У нашій доповіді ми розглянемо успішні ініціативи європейських університетських бібліотек, які запровадили відкриті інновації як спосіб підтримувати та розширювати можливості українських біженців у їхньому навчанні та життєвому шляху. На конкретних прикладах ми поміркуємо над подальшими можливостями, що виникають завдяки перетворенню університетських бібліотек на центри знань із потужною соціальною місією в часи кризи.
