    The Fountainhead: Stylistic Devices for Gale Wynand’s Artistic Image Verbalization

    EN: The given piece is an attempt to analyze some stylistic devices used by an American writer Ayn Rand in the novel “The Fountainhead” to actualize and verbalize the artistic image of Gale Wynand’s. In the course of the research the author comes to the conclusion that among many other stylistic devices Ayn Rand uses anaphor that gives sharpness and expressiveness to the literary text; anadiplosis to logically link the sentences into a single integral semantic group, etc.

    Harry Potter: Social and Cultural Perspective in Literature and its Perception in Ukraine and Russia

    EN: This piece is an attempt to analyze social and cultural perception of J.K. Rowlng’s series about Harry Potter in Ukraine and Russia. In the course of research the authors come to conclusion that perception of the novels in Ukraine and Russia differs greatly. It is idiosyncratic for Ukraine to deal with practical aspect of reception such as translation and adaptation, while in Russia the accent is on the theoretical level of the reception.
