    Library Transformation in Indonesia: a Case Study on the Implementation of Social Inclusion in Purwakarta Regency Public Library (abstracts)

    ENG: Social inclusion-based library transformation can be an agent of change in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) resolution. The agenda is a sustainable development with the aim of making the earth a better place for humans. One of the libraries that made this transformation is Purwakarta Regency Public Library. The purpose of this study is to find out how the implementation of library transformation based on social inclusion in the public library of Purwakarta Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The method used in this study is a descriptive study. The results of the study show that implementation of social inclusion in Purwakarta Regency Public Library through a social inclusion-based library transformation program. The program is called Lipperpul (Lima Program Perpustakaan Unggulan) or Five Excellent Library Programs. The study results show that the transformation of the Purwakarta Regency Regional Library includes changes and improvements in the quality of information both in terms of services and facilities, increasing the competence of librarians and library personnel, and changing the view of the library, which is now not only an information center but also a center of community activity. The concept of social inclusion is closely related to empowerment and lifelong learning. The library community can easily use the library's holdings of materials and learn new skills through the classes it offers, enabling individuals to enhance their own welfare through empowerment.
