    Development of Leadership Qualities of the Managerial Staff as a Factor Influencing the Resilience of the University Library in the Crisis

    ENG: Objective. The purpose of the publication is to determine the role of leadership development of the managerial staff in ensuring the management of the university library in the dynamic crisis conditions of long-term martial law. The article analyses the features of resilient organisations that promptly restore controllability and perform work tasks. The leadership qualities, the development of which is expedient in the team in the conditions of crisis changes, are considered. Methods. The conducted analysis covered the scientific publications on the topic of the study. The study used empirical methods to determine the effectiveness of leadership development among library managers. Results. The influence of the state of technical and social components on the resilience of the organisation is considered. Technical components are difficult to influence by the library administration, unlike social ones. That is why the main focus is on the regulation of social components. Based on the practical results of the library's work, the expediency of forming a leadership style to ensure the library's resilience in crisis conditions is substantiated. Conclusions. Thus, we believe that in crisis conditions, the resilience of an organisation can be enhanced by developing the leadership skills of the library management. During the period of uncertain crisis conditions of martial law, these leadership styles normalise the psychological climate in the team and set employees up for results.

    Safety as One of the Most Important Components of the Digital Competence System in Wartime Conditions

    ENG: Objective. To determine the place of safety skills in the system of digital competences and the role of the university library in their formation among users. The acquisition of safety skills in working with information will allow users to level out and control the negative impact of external information factors. Among the factors that negatively affect a person, there is a colossal amount of information, consisting of actual, relevant, and useful information, as well as garbled, fake, manipulative, and destructive ones. Methods. Empirical methods have been used in the investigation. The practical experience and recommendations of international and national experts in the direction of the formation of safety skills in working with information have been analyzed. The level of their implementation by the library at this stage has been monitored. Result. It has been determined that for the qualitative and integral formation of users’ safety skills in working with information, it is necessary to expand the list of activities and topics in the direction of their popularization and training. The acquisition of safety basics of working with information will allow users to restore and maintain control over physical and psychological health. Conclusions. So, the ability to safely interact with information is one of the most important components of the digital competence system of users, which is especially important in wartime conditions. Teaching such competences will help users to realize, control, and level out the negative impact of external information factors, and that's why it can be considered an urgent task for libraries as institutions that are competent to work with information.

    Shared Leadership as the Foundation of University Library Management in Crisis Conditions of Martial Law

    ENG: Objective. The aim of this publication is to determine an effective approach to managing a university library in crisis conditions of martial law and to identify factors that affect the quality of implementing this approach. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, critical changes have taken place in the real working conditions in the front-line areas of Ukraine. The resumption of work at the university and all its departments required the implementation of new management approaches. The main available mode of work, which ensured the safety of all participants in the educational and scientific process, was remote work. Methods. An analysis of scientific publications on the research topic was conducted. The report examines an approach based on the concept of shared leadership for organizing the virtual work of the university library. The optimality of this approach in organizing the work of employees in a virtual environment was determined and justified based on empirical methods. Results. The use of the shared leadership concept demonstrated the highest effectiveness. Conditions for the effective application of this approach to management using shared leadership are described. Conclusions. Therefore, we believe that shared leadership can become the optimal approach to organizing the virtual work of the library in the crisis conditions of martial law. Based on practical experience, two main groups of factors for the successful implementation of shared leadership have been identified.
