Item Vaccination Infodemic Among Сitizens of Magallanes, Cavite, Philippines. Part I (presentation)(Дніпровський національний університет залізничного транспорту ім. акад. В. Лазаряна, Дніпро, 2021) Yap, Joseph Marmol; Tafalla, DarylEN: The pandemic saw a rise in the spread of information disorders. The proliferation of fake news and information affect our lives as it disrupts our relationship with family members and friends. Trust with each other is being questioned as different people believe in contrasting opinions from what they hear, read, or see in traditional media and social media. As the status of inoculation in the Philippines is slowly moving due to many factors, the citizens who want protection took time to get vaccinated. This survey research intends to understand how people from a fourth class municipality of Cavite made their decision to be vaccinated in spite of misinformation circulating from their close knitted physical interactions within family, friends, and neighbors up to the powerful influence of the traditional media and social media. Librarians have an emerging role to play. Librarians can be partners of a local government unit to promote the citizens well-being. Librarians provide sources of health information vital for an individual to help them arrive at an informed decision.
