| dc.description.abstract | ENG: In response to the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, academic institutions worldwide have been compelled to innovate their approaches to delivering library services for their patrons. The proposed paper explores the implementation of EZProxy, a remote authentication software, alongside librarian training initiatives at Universitas Padjadjaran to facilitate uninterrupted access to library resources amidst the pandemic. This study examines the integration of EZProxy into the university's digital infrastructure and its impact on enabling remote access for students and researchers from anywhere outside the campus area. Additionally, the paper dig deeper into the training programs designed to equip librarians with the skills to navigate this new digital landscape and provide effective virtual assistance as a Subjects Specialist. The findings highlight the significance of technological solutions such as EZProxy in sustaining library services during times of crisis and emphasize the crucial role of trained librarians in ensuring seamless academic support. The study contributes to the discourse on leveraging technology and professional development to adapt to unprecedented challenges and maintain the integrity of educational services in the face of global crisis. | dc.description.abstract | UKR: У відповідь на безпрецедентні виклики, спричинені пандемією COVID-19, академічні установи в усьому світі були змушені інноваційно підходити до надання бібліотечних послуг своїм відвідувачам. У пропонованій статті досліджується впровадження EZProxy, програмного забезпечення для віддаленої автентифікації, а також ініціативи з навчання бібліотекарів в Університеті Паджаджарана для полегшення безперебійного доступу до бібліотечних ресурсів в умовах пандемії. У цьому дослідженні розглядається інтеграція EZProxy в цифрову інфраструктуру університету та її вплив на забезпечення віддаленого доступу для студентів і дослідників з будь-якої точки за межами кампусу. Крім того, у статті глибше розглядаються навчальні програми, покликані навчити бібліотекарів навичкам орієнтуватися в цьому новому цифровому ландшафті та надавати ефективну віртуальну допомогу в якості предметних спеціалістів. Результати дослідження підкреслюють важливість технологічних рішень, таких як EZProxy, у підтримці бібліотечних послуг у кризові часи і наголошують на вирішальній ролі кваліфікованих бібліотекарів у забезпеченні безперебійної академічної підтримки. Дослідження робить внесок у дискусію про використання технологій і професійного розвитку для адаптації до безпрецедентних викликів і збереження цілісності освітніх послуг в умовах глобальної кризи. Описано досвід того, як Університет Паджаджарана реагує на потреби користувачів під час пандемії COVID-19, використовуючи технології та безперешкодно інтегруючи їх з нашим кваліфікованим бібліотекарем як предметним спеціалістом. | uk_UA |
