Abstract
UKR: Проблема філософського виміру «страху Божого» розглядається через призму культурологічного виміру. Акцентується увага на особливостях методологічного аналізу цього феномену. Здійснюється спроба встановити онтологічний статус «страху Божого» в сучасному культурному просторі. Робиться висновок-припущення, що саме словосполучення поняття «страх Божий» може виступати як перформативне поняття, що спроможне на фундаментальну зміну життєвої реальності для людини.
ENG: The subject of this study is one of the most important phenomena of the religious consciousness of man - the fear of God. The purpose of philosophical reflection is to establish the ontological, anthropological and axiological statuses of this phenomenon of the Christian culture of thinking. The methodological dimension reveals all its complexity, since it is difficult to fix the existential foundations of a person in their metahistorical completeness. Such an analysis requires the thinker to have correct philosophical articulation and a pre-compiled philosophical vocabulary. A dictionary in which all definitions do not carry discrepancies in the interpretations and descriptions of the phenomenon under study. The historical retrospective of the study of this concept in its entirety is possible with the support of the theological Christian tradition. The place and role of the «fear of God» in the secularized cultural space of our days is determined. It is pointed out the need to refrain from going into psychology and academic religious studies when considering this phenomenon. The difference between the fear of God, the fear of death and the “fear of God” itself is explained. The paradox of overcoming the fear of death through the “fear of God” is revealed. In the final judgments, it is concluded that the very concept of «fear of God» is performative. It is capable of changing the very reality for a person in his external and internal life in the culture of thinking. This approach to analysis should not be understood solely as a methodological device. This is a special angle of view on the problem, and not just its methodological dimension. The Christian picture of the world postulates the phenomenon of the fear of God as an important component of the entire Christian concept of personality. Without this phenomenon, it is impossible to imagine the whole eschatological picture of the world for the Christian culture of thinking. The status of an ontological event in the history of both the individual and society as a whole is assigned to the manifestation of the «fear of God».
