| dc.description.abstract | ENG: For three years now, Russia has been waging a great war against Ukraine and the entire civilized world. The usual course of our lives has been broken forever, and Ukrainian society has faced many additional challenges. Libraries create the memory of the nation and shape national identity, collect, store and provide public access to information sources, including documentary evidence of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Libraries develop human capital: they provide free access to information and offer opportunities for lifelong learning, development of reading skills, critical thinking, information, digital and media literacy, and mastery of Ukrainian and foreign languages. Libraries promote scientific discovery, innovation, and the integration of Ukrainian science into the global scientific environment. Libraries are centers of psychological support: they help people maintain and strengthen their resilience. Libraries are spaces for civic engagement and bringing people together to overcome challenges. Libraries are also volunteer centers, bringing together people who care and organizing assistance for IDPs and the Armed Forces. Therefore, overcoming the challenges of war, post-war recovery and sustainable development of the country are the main tasks for the state and society. | en |
| dc.description.abstract | UKR: Вже третій рік росія веде проти України і всього цивілізованого світу велику війну. Звичний плин нашого життя зламано назавжди, перед українським суспільством постало багато додаткових викликів. Бібліотеки творять пам’ять нації та формують національну ідентичність, збирають, зберігають і надають публічний доступ до інформаційних джерел, зокрема документальних доказів російсько-української війни. Бібліотеки розвивають людський капітал: забезпечують безкоштовний доступ до інформації та пропонують можливості для навчання впродовж життя, розвитку читацьких спроможностей, критичного мислення, інформаційної, цифрової та медійної грамотності, оволодіння українською та іноземними мовами. Бібліотеки сприяють науковим відкриттям, інноваціям та інтеграції української науки в глобальне наукове середовище. Бібліотеки є центрами психологічної підтримки: тут допомагають людям підтримувати і посилювати свою життєстійкість. Бібліотеки є просторами громадянської активності та згуртування людей навколо подолання викликів. Бібліотеки також є волонтерськими центрами, вони об’єднують небайдужих та організовують допомогу для ВПО і ЗСУ. Тож подолання викликів війни, післявоєнне відновлення і сталий розвиток країни є основними завданнями для держави та суспільства. | uk_UA |
