G: The study aims to provide an analytical review of the advantages and disadvantages of staycation tourism and to form practical recommendations for its development in Ukraine. The volumes of tourist arrivals were analyzed, and it was found that the share of tourism accounts for more than 5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and 90% is the use of transport for tourist needs. By 2030, CO2 emissions from tourism are expected to increase by 25% compared to 2016, i.e. from 1,597 million tons to 1,998 million tons. Tourists visiting specific advertised powers result in 95% of the world's tourists visiting only 5% of a country's territory. This creates a substantial anthropogenic load on a certain ecosystem of popular tourist destinations. The potential advantages and disadvantages of Staycation tourism for stakeholders are analyzed, and recommendations are offered to overcome the negative aspects of this type of tourism. In Ukraine, supporting domestic tourism is necessary, which provides both safeties for tourists and contributes to reducing transport emissions and environmental impact.en
