The Features of a Professionally-Oriented Teaching English Language to Technical Specialties Students of Higher Educational Establishments (prepint)

EN: Annotaion. The formation and development of communication skills and abilities of technical specialties students that are necessary for effective activities in the field of professional foreign language interaction are considered in the article. The basic principles of the organization of teaching students of non-linguistic universities in the framework of a system active approach based on the communicative acts used in professionally-oriented teaching of the English are proposed here. Teaching special English is based primarily on taking into account the needs of students in learning a foreign language, dictated by the characteristic features of profession or specialty. The transformations that take place in all spheres of our lives provide professionals with new opportunities for self-realization, which can be carried out not only through individual cases of communication with foreign colleagues and partners, but also in the process of professional activity in a foreign-language society. In this connection, it is necessary to direct students' training in the development of abilities to solve problems related to the future specialty and to present their results by means of a foreign language, that is, the formation of a foreign language professional communicative competence.

Formation of Lexical Competence when Studying a Foreign Language in a Technical University (preprint)

ENG: In the modern world a foreign language and its study are among the most priority aspects of the education sector. This is largely due to the important role that a foreign language plays for the life of today's society. And the study of any foreign language is closely connected with the study of new vocabulary and the constant replenishment of the vocabulary of students. Lexical knowledge is an important part in the student's cognitive activity. As an integral part, they are included in the “cognitive base” of students; provide a solid lexical basis in mastering the language. For an effective and fruitful process, teaching a foreign language in a technical university is very important in the selection of certain types of exercises and their sequence in the learning process. This article discusses and analyzes similar types of exercises, which should be distinguished taking into account the sequence of formation of skills and the nature of the operations underlying them. Each type should include species that ensure sufficient repetition of new lexical units.
The Formation of Professional Foreign Language Competence of Future Specialists

EN: The article deals with the issue of teaching foreign language to future specialists in technical profile, formation of foreign language professional competence in them. The article substantiates the necessity of introducing new innovative models of foreign language teaching in modern education and bringing its results into conformity with the international standards. The article considers the ways of shaping foreign-language professional competence of future specialists; the main role is given to extracurricular reading of literature on the specialty. The main problems of profession-oriented teaching of a foreign language are listed: the development of communicative skills and abilities (skills of reading, translation, analysis and processing of texts by specialty in a foreign language; ability to communicate in a foreign language); the development of research abilities; assimilation of socio-cultural knowledge. The article is of special interest for philologists and foreign language teachers.

DEU: Dieser Artikel befasst sich mit einigen Aspekten der Interaktion zwischen Sprache und Kultur beim Unterrichten einer Fremdsprache (aus der Erfahrung des Deutschunterrichts) und dem aktuellen Problem der interkulturellen Kommunikation in der modernen Gesellschaft. Eine oder mehrere Fremdsprachen zu beherrschen, ist ein Erfordernis der Zeit und zeigt das Niveau der allgemeinen kulturellen Entwicklung der Gesellschaft an. Es wird nachgewiesen, dass das Erlernen einer Fremdsprache nicht als eine Sammlung von Regeln und Vokabeln, sondern als ein „lebendiges“ Mittel der Kommunikation mit anderen Menschen betrachtet werden sollte. Es zeigt sich, dass die Beherrschung einer Fremdsprache nicht nur durch Grammatik-, Wortschatz- und Übersetzungsfähigkeiten erreicht werden kann, sondern auch durch die Kenntnis einer fremden Kultur. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird dem Umstand gewidmet, dass die Sprache ein Instrument der interkulturellen Kommunikation ist und eng mit den national-kulturellen Besonderheiten der Gesellschaft, in der sie funktioniert, verbunden ist. Die Schwierigkeiten, die bei der Anwendung von Sprachlehrmethoden auftreten können, werden aufgezeigt. Im Zusammenhang mit der interkulturellen Kommunikation gibt es zum Beispiel die Schwierigkeiten mit der lexikalisch-phraseologischen Kombinierbarkeit von Wörtern usw. Es wird darauf hingewiesen, dass das Problem der interkulturellen Kommunikation im Fremdsprachenunterricht schon seit langem besteht, die Linguisten haben sich jedoch erst vor kurzem intensiv mit der Untersuchung dieses Themas beschäftigt. Es wird erläutert, dass für die Umsetzung der interkulturellen Kommunikation hervorragende Fremdsprachenkenntnisse erforderlich sind, die nur durch eine umfassende Ausbildung in allen Arten von Sprachaktivitäten erreicht werden können: Schreiben, Lesen, Hören und Sprechen. Es wird betont, dass der Fremdsprachenunterricht für die Studenten einer technischen Universität unter Berücksichtigung des Prinzips des Dialogs der Kulturen ein komplexer Prozess ist, der von einem Fremdsprachenlehrer eine ständige Auseinandersetzung mit den Materialien der Fachdisziplinen erfordert die Sprachkenntnisse der Studenten in ihrem gewählten Fachgebiet zu entwickeln, die für die professionelle Kommunikation notwendig sind. Es wird erläutert, dass es für die erfolgreiche Umsetzung des Prinzips der interkulturellen Kommunikation im Fremdsprachenunterricht notwendig ist, sowohl lehrplangemäßes Unterrichtsmaterial als auch interaktive Unterrichtsformen und -methoden zu verwenden. Sie ermöglichen es den Studenten ihren Horizont zu erweitern und die Werte einer fremden Kultur zu verstehen, was zu einem besseren Verständnis ihrer nationalen Identität und zur Ausbildung von Patriotismus sowie Respekt für die Kultur des Landes der Zielsprache beitragen kann. Der Artikel könnte für Fremdsprachenlehrer und Linguisten interessant und nützlich sein.

DEU: Dieser Artikel spricht über die wachsende Rolle von Fremdsprachen in der modernen Gesellschaft, über das drängende Problem der Motivation beim Fremdsprachenstudium am Beispiel der deutschen Sprache an einer Fachhochschule, über Möglichkeiten, diese zu steigern. Es werden verschiedene Ansätze zur Untersuchung des Motivationsproblems von Wissenschaftlern aus verschiedenen Ländern beschrieben. Es werden die wesentlichen Faktoren analysiert, die zur Motivationsbildung für das Erlernen einer Fremdsprache (Deutsch) beitragen. Die Autoren des Artikels betrachten die Motivation zum Fremdsprachenlernen als eine interne Triebfeder, die den Studenten dazu zwingt, Zeit und Energie für das Erlernen einer Fremdsprache aufzuwenden. Die Fremdsprachenkenntnisse werden zu einem der Hauptfaktoren sowohl des sozioökonomischen als auch des allgemeinen kulturellen Fortschritts der Gesellschaft. In hohem Maße zeigt sich die Individualisierung des Lernprozesses, bei der eine Vielzahl von internen und externen Variablen, die miteinander interagieren, eine große Rolle beim Erlernen einer Fremdsprache spielt. Ein sehr wichtiger Faktor in diesem Zusammenhang ist die Motivation der Studenten nicht nur als Anreiz zum Erlernen einer Sprache, sondern auch als Hebel zur Förderung des Lernens. Die Motivationsarten, der Unterschied zwischen den Begriffen „Motivation“ und „Motiv“ werden ausführlich beschrieben. Das Motiv wird als subjektive psychologische Realität dargestellt. Aber Motivation hängt von menschlichen Beziehungen ab. Dies ist tatsächlich die innere Motivation, auch eine Kombination innerer, psychologischer Faktoren, die das menschliche Verhalten bestimmen und lenken. Darüber hinaus kann die Motivation von menschlichen Beziehungen abhängen, also extern sein. Die Autoren des Artikels zeigen, dass die Motivation der Hauptbestandteil von Lernaktivitäten ist. Es ist die intrinsische Motivation, die zu besseren Lernergebnissen führt, aber es ist notwendig, beide Arten von Motivation bei den Studenten zu entwickeln. Die Studie belegt den Schluss, dass die Motivation der Studierenden zum Erlernen einer Fremdsprache zwingend notwendig ist, um sich während des gesamten Lernprozesses zu entwickeln. Der Artikel kann für die Fremdsprachenlehrer und Linguisten von Interesse und Nutzen sein.

Obtaining Foreign Language Communicative Professional Competence by Future Specialists

ENG: Modern professional language training of the period of informatization of education and society pays considerable attention to the correspondence between teaching methods and teaching aids - components of the system of methodology of teaching foreign languages. When discussing the methodological tools of teaching foreign languages, we mean mainly the means of informatization of education, which have not only functionality but also pedagogical capabilities. Such research is extremely relevant for teaching foreign languages in engineering universities, as their results can intensify this specific learning process. The current stage of development of the national higher professional school is characterized by educational innovations aimed at preserving the achievements of the past and at the same time modernizing the system of higher professional education in accordance with the requirements of the time, reorienting it to ensure the achievement of new goals that correspond to the level of development of society and technologies, methods communication in the postindustrial information space. Today, the main goal of training and the criterion for the quality of training a process engineer has become the professional competence of a university graduate. There is a rapid transition from a qualification educational model of a specialist to a systemic one, including a competence-based one. The article is devoted to the problem of the importance of the development of language and intercultural competence of future specialists in technical specialties. Different points of view on this problem are analyzed. The theoretical part of this article presents some pedagogical possibilities of means of informatization of education. It also provides guidelines for language teachers on how to overcome the difficulty of memorizing non-specific for science and technology language learning material by engineering students.
On the Formation of General Scientific Lexical Language Competence of the Students of a Technical University

EN: Professionally oriented learning is based on the needs of students in learning a foreign language. These needs are dictated by the characteristics of a future profession or specialty. The term “vocational-oriented learning” is used to refer to the process of teaching a foreign language in a non-linguistic university, focused on reading literature in the specialty, studying professional vocabulary and terminology, and more recently on communication in the sphere of professional activity. A professionally oriented approach to the teaching of a foreign language in technical universities now acquires particular relevance. This approach provides for the formation of students' ability to speak foreign languages in certain professional, business, scientific fields and situations while taking into account the peculiarities of professional thinking. The article suggests possible ways to solve these problems. They are the interaction of various structural divisions of a technical higher educational institution; the development of relevant teaching materials and manuals; the use of bilingual education; the intensification of such forms of educational activity as technical translation; annotating and referencing of foreign language text of professional content engineering, preparing presentations on professionally important topics or summarizing the results of research in foreign language articles or reports for graduate students.

EN: The article, based on the analysis of the views of various linguistic scientists, shows the strengths of the foreign language, one of the oldest disciplines taught as an effective tool for the formation of a multicultural outlook among non-native speakers. Particular attention is paid to the importance of a foreign language as a compulsory component of a common culture, as well as an educational program of higher education. Polyculture is not laid on the genetic level. It is socially deterministic and should be formed in the educational process, and the ideas of linguocultural education by means of foreign languages should be implemented in the textbooks that are part of the educational and methodological complexes. In this regard, the multicultural approach in educating youth in Ukraine, the design of courses, the development and implementation of native textbooks and teaching aids of the new generation is for students of non-English high schools considered as an indispensable condition for optimizing the learning process of a foreign language, which allows to effectively formulate a foreign-language multicultural outlook. An article may be of interest to high school teachers.
